The electrical protection provided by this line of strips starts with a recessed ON/OFF switch, which prevents the accidental tripping of the device. This ON/OFF switch is lighted to indicate whether the device is actively providing power. It also has an integrated 15-amp circuit breaker to prevent an overloading of the devices. The MMS900 comes with 900 Joules of energy absorption and the MMS2100 has 2100 Joules of absorption capability. In addition to surge absorption technology, both models are designed with catastrophic event protection. This built in fail-safe mode will disconnect the device from utility power in the event the unit has been internally damaged or compromised, thus protecting all connected devices.

For additional protection, the MMS2100 also features an integrated RJ11 input port and two (2) RJ11 output ports to shield a phone/fax/ modem line from surges or spikes.
